The Dorothy Parker Society has a monthly party the last Saturday night of the month, January-October, with Wit’s End, the best vintage society in the nation. On Saturday, March 29, in NYC, come to Wit’s End and celebrate Spring while you drink Prohibition era cocktails and dance to live hot jazz from Myriam Phiro’s Swing Party!
Brought together by a mutual love of French cuisine and French music, Myriam Phiro and Robbie Kleinberg began their musical partnership and Miss Phiro’s Swing Party was born. Having a swingband has always been one of Myriam’s dreams; considering her range from a seductive and elegant jazz singer to an energetic swingdancer, the transition was obvious. Robbie’s flair for it came after a decade of education in American Jazz, and found himself captivated by French music at first “bonjour!”
Come in your finest jazz age or vintage insured attire to celebrate in style with live hot jazz and specialty cocktails in an authentic 1920s speakeasy (Texas Guinan’s Club Intime, now at Flute Midtown, 205 W. 54th Street at Broadway)!
Our lovely hostess is burlesque showgirl Kita St Cyr!
