An eastern Connecticut performance of Dorothy Parker’s works is coming in the new year.
The Friends of the Hagaman Memorial Library will present Jean Lane in “An Evening with Dorothy Parker,” an adaptation based upon the life and works of Mrs. Parker.
The performance will take place Tuesday, Jan. 9, at 7 p.m. The library is at 227 Main Street, East Haven, Conn.
Jean Lane is a New York City native. She trained in theater, has acted, directed and written for the stage. Lane has appeared at the GeVa Repertory Theatre and the Nazareth College Arts Center in Rochester, NY, the Smithsonian in Washington, DC, Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and in colleges and universities across the country. As artistic director of her own company, Hourglass Theatre, she has toured the country with “Splendid Rebel” her one-woman show on Charlotte Bronte. She lives in New Haven where she remains active in the local theater scene.
