A used book vendor on Columbus and W. 68th Street was where I found the excellent book “21” about the famous bar/restaurant, The “21” Club. There is photo of Dottie and husband Alan Campbell together that I’ve never come across before. The book is helpful in my current research into Parker’s watering holes. I’m compiling a list of Dottie’s favorite theaters and bars, which is for the next stage of Dot City. Another great book I’ve been reading is Guide to New York City Landmarks (Preservation Press). I’m no architecture student, but I’m learning a lot about old New York that will make its way onto the Dot City site…special thanks goes to David Thompson, who e-mailed me a scan of a 1943 Parker photo by George Platt Lynes. Awesome! I put it on the Links Page, which was in serious need of artwork anyway.
