The monthly Dorothy Parker Society party is on a roof! Wit’s End™ presents Mike Davis and the New Wonders at St. Cloud in the Knickerbocker Hotel, Saturday, April 30, 2016. The first Wit’s End party in 7 years to be held outdoors! Advance tickets onsale.

Dance to 1920s jazz, enjoy cocktails, and wear your best vintage fashions as we move the party outdoors under the stars! Tonight the band and party take over the outdoor roof and roof bar at St. Cloud!

Led by Mike Davis, one of the city’s most renowned coronet virtuosos, The New Wonders are the living embodiment of a 1920s jazz band. This quintet brings the Prohibition era alive with a horn and woodwinds display of historic proportions. Inspired by the popular music of the Roaring Twenties, Mike Davis and the New Wonders perform at speakeasies all over the region. Tonight see them in a rare appearance outdoors under the stars on the roof the landmark Knickerbocker Hotel.

Tonight everyone’s favorite showgirl—and the party’s hostess—Kita St Cyr returns to our party to bring her million-dollar smile to Times Square.

We are hosting a special tribute tonight to the RMS Titanic on the 104th anniversary of the sinking. In addition to the ice cubes in our cocktails, we’ll raise our glasses to the man who built the Knickerbocker Hotel in 1906, the legendary John Jacob Astor IV, who lost his life in the disaster at sea. We’ll have special guests and surprises tied to the White Star Line.

Also on the bill tonight is DJ Mike Will Cut You, New York’s vintage music DJ who plays classic sounds from 80-year old recordings. He is the host of “Ragged But Right” on WFMU Radio and performs at the Jazz Age Lawn Party. The co-sponsor of the party is the Dorothy Parker Society, the drinking club with a book problem.
